Deiva Marina is strategically located in the middle of Italian Riviera, ideal starting point for excursions and to have access to all natural parks
situated in this area: Cinque Terre National Park, Portofino Park, Portovenere Regional Nature Park, Montemarcello Val di Magra Park, Val di Vara.
Situated just north of the 5 villages known as” Cinque Terre” - just 15 minutes by train from them – Deiva Marina is a quiet seaside resort,
especially appreciated for hiking, for its large sandy beach, its clean sea, water sports such as fishing, windsurfing and boat trips
and especially because from there reaching Cinque Terre and Portofino is very easy!

HOW TO REACH DEIVA MARINA
By Bus / by Car: Highway A12 exit Deiva Marina or for cars only and small buses also highway A12,
exit Sestri Levante and then SS n.1 Aurelia - ancient steam train tunnels.
Small sized buses can reach the hotel entrances. Large busses have to stop at the train station.
situated 4 minute-walk from the hotel. Luggage transfer is done with our minivan free of charge.

By train: train station 200 meters away. Genoa - La Spezia railway line.
Usually it’s necessary to commute in Sestri Levante or Levanto
By ferry: closest harbors La Spezia, Genoa and Savona, coming from Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily, Tunisia, Spain, Morocco.
By plane: closest airports are Pisa and Geno. Nice, Milan. Upon request assistance of our minivan (for small groups 6/8 people only)

THE HOTEL
Hotel Clelia is an ancient Genoese villa with harmonious architecture, spread over three floors, plus a fourth floor exclusively dedicated to attic rooms.
All 33 rooms can be reached using the lift, except for the 3 attic rooms (Mansarda): they can be reached climbing a short flight of stairs from the third floor.
The villa is surrounded by a flowered garden where large lime trees provide freshness and shade during summer.

The large swimming pool (8x16) with its blue mosaic and a whirlpool corner invites you for a relaxing swim after a trekking day along the wonderful trails on the coast.
From the hotel you will easily reach the sandy beach and the train station on foot in less than 5 minutes! The beach is situated just 100 meters away.

In the garden you will find a children little playground and a former telephone cabin used now as a booking crossing point.
The solarium terrace with sea view on the third floor is furnished with sun beds and umbrellas
for all those who like to enjoy the warm sun of Ligurian summer, avoiding crowded beaches.
Our café area in front of the garden is available to enjoy aperitifs, drinks and homemade ice cream
featuring fresh seasonal fruit, eggs, milk, the best cocoa, pistachios, hazelnuts.
Our restaurant is well known and appreciated for the use of local ingredients, fresh fish, DOP olive oil.
Dine by the pool, on the porch or in the air-conditioned restaurant room and don’t forget to taste our famous plateau royal!

THE ROOMS
The 33 rooms – even if they are all different- have the following facilities:
air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, VoIP telephone (free phone calls worldwide) kettle and tea private bathroom
with shower or bathtub, hairdryer and courtesy products, Tv Sat, safe, minibar. Some rooms feature a balcony with pool view with tables and chairs.
Suite Portofino with connecting rooms and family rooms with kitchenette corner are available and suitable for families with children.

MENU OF THE DAY
Dinner with half board menu consists of: appetizer, 4 different first courses, 4 different
second courses, salad buffet with vegetable, cheese, cold cuts, fruit buffet/dessert.
Every day we offer two first and second courses with fish, two without fish and a soup.
Our dishes respect the tradition of Ligurian cuisine, partly revisiting it.

Grilled fish fillet on pistachio cream, risotto with oysters and green pepper, Minestrone Genovese,
Mesciua Spezzina, Lobster with sweet-soured vegetables, Mixed fish fried, Cappon Magro, Pesto,

DAY TRIPS

Cinque Terre: Famous all over the world, National Park and UNESCO Heritage, the Cinque Terre are 5 beautiful
sea villages (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore) that can be visited by train, by ferry or on foot.
The car is not recommended. The Cinque Terre can be easily reached by train in 15 minutes.

Baie del Levante is a rugged coastline on the Italian Riviera that connects Cinque Terre to Portofino
and consist of 6 villages: Levanto, Bonassola, Framura, Deiva Marina, Moneglia and Sestri Levante,
all with beautiful beaches and less crowded that the near Cinque Terre.
3 of these villages – Levanto – Bonassola – Framura are connected also by Ciclopedonale MareMonti,
former steam train tunnels now converted into an interesting bike with nice sea view.

Portofino: Picturesque harbour with Roman origins and former fishing village, Portofino has reshaped into an exclusive resort.
Surrounded by a beautiful and well maintained Natural Park, the village is reachable by bus/car or ferry from Santa Margherita.

Golfo del Tigullio: Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo, Zoagli, Chiavari, Sestri Levante.
15/40 km away from Deiva Marina by car, bus or train.

Golfo Paradiso: Bogliasco, Pieve Ligure, Sori, Recco, Camogli. 40/60 km. from Deiva Marina by car, bus or train.

Val Fontanabuona: Famous for its slate quarries. The slate exported all over the world for the manufacture of billiards and for roof construction.

Val di Vara: Medieval villages, hills and mountains. This valley is also famous for the production of organic food.
15/40 km. from Deiva Marina by car or bus.

Golfo dei Poeti: Portovenere, Lerici, Tellaro. La Spezia: Naval Museum, Archaeological Museum, Lia Museum, Seal Museum.
35/55 km. Train to La Spezia and the bus or ferry.

Lunigiana: The valley of the river Magra stretches from the border with the province of Parma towards the sea.
Traces of human settlements dating back to more than 5,000 years BC.
Don’t miss: Staue Stele Museum in Pontremoli, mysterious menir of different ages, dozens of medieval villages,
Luni and its Roman amphitheater, the town of Sarzana, the Grotto of Equi Terme.
30/60 km. from Deiva Marina by car. Sarzana can also be reached by train.

Versilia and Garfagnana (high Tuscany): Picturesque landscapes, hiking on Alpi Apuane, visits to marble quarries,
Grotta del vento (Wind Grotto), Grotta del Gorchia, medieval villages.
Versilia region in particular is recommended for shopping, entertainment and nightlife and for the carnival in Viareggio.

Hiking
Deiva Marina is situated along the Blue-Green Hiking Path (Sentiero Verdeazzurro) that from behind Genoa
leads to Sestri Levante and from there continues to Monterosso and finally reaches Portovenere.
Alta Via dei Monti Liguri – 400 Km from Ventimiglia to La Spezia - can be reached through paths that are perpendicular to the sea (Vie del Sale).
Some of these tracks are accessible to bikers too.

Transportation
Between Genoa and La Spezia there is a station in almost every village, that’s why trains are the best way to move from one village to the other, if you stay along the coast.
If you have a car, Highway Autostrada A12 exits are in Genoa, Recco, Rapallo, Chiavari, Lavagna, Sestri Levante, Deiva Marina, Carrodano, Brugnato and La Spezia.
Strada Statale Aurelia offers beautiful sea views! scenery.

Interesting routes in the hinterland: route direction O Piacenza, Parma, Reggio Emilia and towards
the footsteps of Scoffera, Faiallo, Bocco, Passo Cento Croci, Passo della Cisa and Cerreto.
A ferry boat service connect Camogli, San Fruttuoso, Portofino, Sestri Levante, Moneglia, Deiva Marina, Levanto, Cinque Terre, Portovenere.
